Daybreak Dairy is a family owned Dairy.  Amongst other duties at the farm, Nate and his wife are responsible for the newborn calf care. Nate mentioned that consistency is one of the biggest successes with the system. “The ability to easily process and store the colostrum, then thaw it quickly ensures newborn calves are getting what they need and sooner.”

Nate mentioned that before purchasing the system they were not pasteurizing or freezing. “The process was taking too long and was messy”.  “Purchasing this system was a large step and a major improvement to our protocol.”

When asked “How important the equipment is for calf raising? If rating on a scale of 1-5 (1 being, not very necessary and 5 being, can’t live without), Nate gave the highest rating of 5, being ‘can’t live without’.
